Technologies & Learning Path
Core Technologies
LeaRes is built on a robust technology stack:
- Frontend: React 18.2 (JavaScript, with TypeScript in newer modules)
- 3D Visualization: VTK.js for real-time rendering of medical data
- Backend: FastAPI (Python 3.12+) for high-performance REST API
- Database: MongoDB for flexible document storage
- AI Engine: Auto3DSeg for automatic organ segmentation
- CFD Solver: MOEBIUS for multi-physics simulations (fluid, thermal, particle)
- Image Processing: visir (VTK-based) for DICOM processing and mesh operations

- Advanced techniques: centerline extraction, cross-sectional analysis
System Requirements
To use LeaRes effectively, ensure your system meets these minimum requirements:
- Browser: Modern browser with WebGL 2.0 support (Chrome 90+, Firefox 88+, Edge 90+)
- Display: 1920x1080 resolution or higher
- Memory: 8GB RAM minimum (16GB recommended for large datasets)
- Internet: Stable connection for cloud processing (AI segmentation, simulations)
Note: LeaRes uses WebGL for 3D rendering. If you experience performance issues, check that hardware acceleration is enabled in your browser settings.
